The Lucchesi Vineyards and Winery is a gem in Nevada County, it specializes in traditionally crafted wines and has over 16 varietals! The Winery also does a fantastic job with hosting weddings and parties. It is your go-to place to have a fun night out and relax with a sublime view of the local world.
Kellen: Hello everyone and welcome to the very first episode of Striking Gold in the Local World. I'm your host Kellen Lake and today I'm joined with Linda Clough the owner of Lucchesi Vineyards and Winery and the wine tasting room in downtown Grass Valley right here. Linda thanks for doing this with us.
Linda: You're welcome.
Kellen: So tell us a little bit about your business and why you started it.
Linda: Well we own and operate a Vineyard in a binder here in Grass Valley. This was actually a dream of my husband to have this opportunity to grow grapes and make wine and so it's been wonderful.
Kellen: That's awesome. So what is it about Nevada County — why did you guys choose to move here in this specific location?
Linda: Yeah, well one thing is it's just beautiful and the people are wonderful and it's very safe. But an added thing for growing grapes is that the climate is perfectly suited for growing grapes and so that was a benefit.
Kellen: That's definitely important, for sure. This area of California is known to be where the gold rush started. What is something that you really treasure in taking care of your local community here.
Linda: Well yeah it does have that wonderful history and I do treasure that. When people come to visit I always love to send them to the Empire Mine or go with them to different line properties that are now state parks up here. And you know what I love are the Yuba River and the mountains and the trees… And so it is definitely a place to be treasured. An added thing is that it's very affordable for California real estate so you should check out Kellen.
